My journey to founding Home Energy Solution (HES) began not with success, but with struggle. Growing up, I experienced firsthand what it meant to go without—sometimes not knowing where the next meal would come from, or how to keep the lights on. Those early hardships didn’t break me; instead, they built my heart and mind, teaching me empathy, resilience, and a deep respect for the challenges so many families face every day.
As I worked my way through college—often serving others at banquets while barely scraping by myself—I learned the value of hard work and the importance of community. I earned my degree in Drafting Technologies, and with every new opportunity, I made it my mission to keep learning, growing, and giving back. My path took me through many industries, from food service to real estate, and each step gave me a broader understanding of people from all walks of life. Along the way, I earned certifications such as Lutron Lighting Control Programming, and became a licensed Home Improvement Salesperson.
These experiences shaped my belief that everyone deserves a safe, comfortable, and affordable home. That’s why I created HES—not just to provide energy solutions, but to empower people. I want to help families save money, breathe easier, and feel secure, no matter their circumstances. My team and I are committed to listening first, understanding your unique needs, and offering solutions that truly make a difference.

William (Bill) Kapudija

My story begins in Elmhurst, Illinois, where I spent much of my youth working on cars—rebuilding engines and troubleshooting electrical systems long before I knew the term “electrical contracting.” Fixing a dead battery or rewiring headlights taught me that problem solving could be both practical and deeply rewarding. Those early mornings in my family’s garage laid the foundation for a technical mindset and sparked a lifelong fascination with how things work.
In my early twenties, I moved to the Nashville area and spent time at Castle Recording Studio. While I’m not a musician, working there taught me to listen carefully, anticipate needs, and adapt quickly to keep sessions running smoothly for artists and engineers alike. Being surrounded by producers and sound experts taught me to balance exacting details with flexibility. These skills now guide every electrical project I tackle. Ensuring a recording session or a home circuit works without interruption reinforced the idea that serving people comes before applying technical know-how.
In 2014, I relocated to Phoenix and immersed myself in construction and electrical work. I started as an apprentice on residential remodels and quickly fell in love with designing solar systems and wiring generators that protect families during monsoon season. Along the way, I earned Generac backup generator certification and became a licensed electrician. Whether I’m wiring a multi-string inverter for a home solar array or fine-tuning an Emergency Management System inverter for a high-end restaurant, each project offers a chance to combine meticulous planning with immediate problem solving on site. I still work on cars in my spare time, always discovering new ways to refine my mechanical skills and apply automotive insights to smarter electrical solutions.
Family is at the core of everything I do. My daughter keeps me grounded and reminds me daily why honest, reliable work matters. I understand firsthand the anxiety of unexpected outages or rising energy bills, so I treat every home and business I visit as if it were my own. I offer clear estimates, maintain tidy work areas, and install systems built to run smoothly long after I have left. Those lessons about respect and reliability, learned while helping neighbors jump-start their cars, inform every interaction I have with clients today.
Building trust in our diverse Phoenix community drives my mission. I strive to connect with each homeowner and business owner through respectful communication and a genuine willingness to learn.
